Our Story

We are two sisters who share a deep passion for flowers. The interest was born during our childhood, in our grandfather’s rose garden in Azerbaijan. It then evolved through our experience in a flower shop in Norway and flourished into an exciting sister project in Belgium.

Our values and commitments

Here at Hei Sister we deeply value family, nature and authenticity. These values guide our commitment to use local, organic and seasonal flowers when possible, and to support growers and small businesses that provide fair and ethical working conditions.

Environmental responsibility & ethical business practices

We are committed to using environmentally responsible practices throughout our business. Conventionally grown flowers often require large amounts of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, which can harm the environment and pollute waterways. In addition, these substances can be harmful to the workers that cultivate and harvest them, as well as for the people who purchase and handle them. We source our flowers from Belgian growers during the season, and from Europe the rest of the year. Our growers who do not use any pesticides or other harmful chemicals in the process of cultivating flowers. In addition to this, our flowers do not travel across the world to our studio.
